How to Search Threads?

I want to know how to search threads for other topics or other threads by name.



1. If I just want to check on a particular topic that's been posted before, do I open any catagory and enter the word; or enter the word with wildcard (*); or what?



2. If I want to go later to see a post by name, and not sure what category it was posted in, is that an option?



Can you provide a little direction here. I read the help section but didn't see any reference to searching for threads.



Also, if someone replies to one of the older posts, it'd be nice to have the older post brought back up to the current display screen in that category post threads, eliminating the need to scan next pages continually to get to it. Just a thought.
