What is Love?

Love is a moment and a lifetime. It is looking at him across a room and feeling that "if I don't spend the rest of my life with him, I'll have missed the boat." Love is working together, together, growing together. It is respect for each other and the people each cares about however difficult it is sometimes to like his kinfolk or his friends. Love is wanting to shout from the rooftops to successes, little and big, of one another. Love is wanting to wipe away the tears when failure comes. Love is laughter, especially in the middle of a quarrel.

Love must be sincere . Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. (Romans 12:9)

Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. (1 Peter 4:8)

All those things you wrote are true. Interesting that I found this today. I just posted this on facebook this morning, from 1 Corinthians 13:

Love is patient

Love is kind

Love is not jealous

Love does not brag

Love is not arrogant

Love does not act unbecomingly

Love does not seek its own

Love is not provoked

Love does not take into account a wrong suffered

Love does not rejoice in unrighteousness

Love rejoices with the truth

Love bears all things

Love believes all things

Love hopes all things

Love endures all things

Love never fails

It's kinda sad these days many of us never learn what true real l;ove is until our lives have almost rushed right by. I'm 62 and never really loved anyone fully until just a few years ago. Then because that love was unrequited it almost destroyed me.

God's pure love is totally responsible.

He creates us, feeds and grows us up, and puts that Godly hunger for Him way deep inside. Even the trees lift their branches, thanking and praising Him. So, if we learn that we begin to find love. God is LOVE.
