I think it would be helpful to have profile reviews.

A check forum where you would just ask people to review your profile. Then people can make comments and suggestions about your profile.

I think many of us have been there and understand that after a divorce or loss of spouse your world is just turned upside down and you kind of lose touch with the view others might have as they look at you from the outside in. Many have lost confidence and it shows in the way they write their profile. A LOT of people have no boundaries and really don't know what they should look for in a spouse!

The goal is not to teach how to write the PERFECT profile but just ways you need to reconsider your word usage! Above all we must be HONEST as we write our profiles! Some people just need encouragement! :-)

Just my thoughts

Lloyd

First thought was vanity but with a (must be checked opt in box) and a (opt in/opt out anytime option) I could see some possible benefit.

For get that last post, Yea a forum profile review. A standard set of questions concerning the profile, using standard thread names and layout, sounds fun.

Why not just request a profile review on the forums? I don't think anyone would mind, and I can't imagine there is a big demand for it.

I do have a few photography tips for the men on this site though.

1. Stop uploading tiny pictures of yourself. We can't see you!

2. Don't upload 7 pictures of yourself with other people. We don't know which person is you.

3. Don't upload pictures with a attractive person of the opposite gender, we'll think you're pining over them.

4. Upload variety, no point having 7 pictures from the same day/angle.

5. Smile in 2 or 3 of your pictures.

6. Upload some of your best, most flattering pictures.

7. Try uploading pictures that are up to date. If you are older, or have changed weight, we will notice once we meet in person. Better to be rejected now than further down the line. Or accepted by someone who doesn't care how you look.

8. Upload a few head shots, and some full body pictures.
