God speaks to us in different ways, my new beginnings with Christ Jesus were sustained by the old testament. When reading a new testament, I then got a clear understanding of the older testament, through the holy spirit's help I even understood the continuation and recent changes made by Christ Jesus from the older to the new testament. I think you should rather advise a new born in Christ to pray before reading the bible & ask for God's guidance. That's a good question you've asked. Post Reply
