The bible is consistent in sharing that the beauty of a woman is to be interior and developed in expanding the kingdom of God. as Paul says, is to be in modesty (not a popular value this days) in respect (another one) and many other. External beauty is a gift from God, but is to be enjoyed by your husband. This one is glamorous and ready to excite the sense of man around you, but it quickly fades away (unfortunately in a few years that will be evident, we are all subject to entropy in this fallen state:( ), but the interior beauty can grow forever, as we mirror Christ in our being, live in christian community and serve the world around us. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate a beautiful woman as much as the next guy, but in my view it has to be more to a woman then this. More then it meets the eye. There are many other things to say about this question. Just to point one more direction...what kind of attitudes this contest foster in somebody? Does it prompt to modesty or arrogance?For sure in the real world things are more complicated then what i said to this point, but meditation and self-reflection of this question i think it is welcomed. But for now i think is enough. Maybe others can contribute more. Be blessed beautiful woman, be blessed with the beauty of Christ! Post Reply

Actualy a woman that join in such contest needs a self image restoration. They need to know that they were created according to God's image. What else need to be proved. isn't it more honor appraised by God than men (humans). Iam beautiful inside and out...Amen! :angel: Post Reply

View Profile History	Beauty Pageants Posted : 17 Mar, 2014 04:14 PM It may not be wrong to join one, but as many of you guys pointed out, beauty pageants tend to focus on the external. Beauty pageants give us the values of the world, tell us to measure ourselves against it, and at the same time imply that only a few people meet the impossible standards given in those pageants. Ideas about beauty are always forms of societal control and even feminists have pointed that out. As women, we need to measure ourselves more in terms of Christ's standards. Of course the standard given to us is Christlikeness and is therefore impossible to achieve on our own, but then again we have Christ. Post Reply

Beauty Pagents are only a show of what you got at that moment, by the next year, your past beauty will have change but who you are won't- not much anyways.
