Posted : 2 Jan, 2012 08:06 PM I'm in the ordination process with my Diocese and hope to go to seminary and become a priest in the Episcopal Church. I am also in formation as a Religious in a Celtic monastic Christian fellowship in the Episcopal Church. I think it'd be cool to have a forum on here for people exploring various calls to professional ministry as Clergy, Religious, or Laity to connect, share their experiences, and perhaps discern their various callings together. Posted : 19 Jan, 2012 09:12 PM What is professional ministry? does that mean making money out of Jesus? or another slant on that concept might be 'taking the Lords name in vain, you know: using the name of Jesus to get your ambition (A source of financial income) a source of supply that is different than what Jesus prescribed as to how we get the stuff for living (A financial provider other than from our heavenly father), e.g getting: food, cloths, a place to lay our heads to sleep, without reliance on the Father. doesn't that defy what Jesus spoke when he said freely you have received freely give?
