Please remember that all materials should be original or credit given to the author. No material can be copied without the express permission of the author or you will be breaking one of the 10 Commandments! mmm...mmm..You might need to read up and figure out which one it is....
Ok...lets have some fun...and enjoyment!
THE MENTOR
I see as you are
Not with eyes of prejudice or fault
But with anticipation of your every move...
Your voice is like a melody waiting to be sung
I hang onto every note with envy
Contemplating the next harmonious passage...
Consumed by the thing I fear most
I relish in the fragrance of courage and strength
Emmanating from you and am totally captivated...
Deep within me lies the essence of your soul
That I might someday walk as you walk now
Never measuring another by wealth but rather by
character portrayed...
Love does not describe what you mean to me
My Teacher, Guide, and Friend
May I someday be the reflection of this Priceless Encounter!
( this poem was written about a very special teacher who helped me to recognize my potential...years ago)
Oh...Just one more thing....(It's amazing what a shower will do for you...!) Song popped into my head...Not mine but I don't know the author...In case you need it, here it is...
GOD GAVE ME A SONG
God gave me a song...
That the angels cannot sing...
I've been washed in the blood...
By the crucified one...
I've been redeemed...
The Lord has been...
So good to me...
He's opened doors ...
I could not see...
Sometimes when I ....
Am feeling low...
No one to care...
No place to go...
My Father is rich...
In Houses and Lands...
He holds the power of the world
In His hands...
Power: He holds the power in His hands...
Power: God holds the power in His hands...
Power: He made the leaves on the trees..
Power: He made the birds and the bees...
Power: He made the oceans and the seas...
Power: He made you and me...
Power: He has the power in His hands..
Power: God has the power in His hands...
mmm..mmm..mmm..mmm. All Good...:applause:
Remember with whatever you have to face today that God has the Power !!!! Give Him praise today !!!!
Remember...just like me...some old songs still have a melody to be sung...Please don't throw me out with the bathwater!!!
Rev...please don't leave...you're breaking my heart...You are so sweet and kind and good...I know the struggle between the "real" world and the forum. I wish I could wake these young girls up...and as a matter of fact, the old ones, too! You are one in a million and regardless of what your friends think, you truely are a diamond in the rough.
Well, maybe you're right, though. Maybe it is time to say adieu to we three...and let the poetry travel on it's own.
Rev...I do have two Carolina daughters...one almost 20 and one 25....mmm...mmm...mmm Whatever you decide to do, know that it has been a pleasue knowing you and I do mean the heart of you. You do have to listen to the calling of God on your life and I do appreciate the poetry wake up call on my life that you help rejuvenate. You are an inspiration and I am so proud of you. Please keep writing...You really are good.
My heart is so heavy...Please know that God loves you and will give you the desires of your heart. I feel you are hurting but know that this too shall pass and He will give you the best of the best...Keep you face heaven bound...
Your tribute to Rev was So touching. Your loving poem, along with the fact that he left, has made me cry. Praying God will comfort All !
...........there'll be spring......
Show me a small
and shriveled seed,
discarded
as a worthless thing;
smile
if you will,
that I should keel
in worship;
----there'll be spring.
A few of the poems Rev wrote,'tho humorous; contained a silent sadness as well. God Be With him.
The poem I posted is another one by Ruth Graham; I'm very fond of her work. She proves the saying---It's not what you take when you go, it's what you leave behind.
I am praying on it, Deborah. There is a right way and a wrong way to do things and I guess I am hurting so much for him because of his innocence and, I feel, embarrassment, for those who followed the banter. God always takes situations like these and raises them to a higher level. My prayer is that Rev will win a princess' heart and be the "godly envy" of every man walking. I'm not man bashing, I'm just lifting a good friend up...Rev if you're peeking in, email me privately and maybe I could introduce you to some beautiful
women in person...You know how I love road trips.....!
To all of you who are listening now...may the peace of God fill your heart with all the good things and may you rest in the love of Jesus cause everything's gonna be ok...!
Love you bunches and bunches...Robin - Nighty Night!
