One of the odd things is that the entire idea behind elected representation is so that everyday people do not have to spend our time babysitting the issues...so many of the elected representatives have already failed. Why would I want to spend more money so that the crazy 'representatives' can come to there senses? Post Reply

Posted : 3 Oct, 2025 04:59 AM Things are and will be different with this shutdown because President Donald John Trump is at the helm, but exactly in what ways remains to be seen. Worker layoffs might mean they don't get paid for the time the shutdown is in effect. That would be different from when previous shutdowns where everybody got got pay as if they were just on vacation once the shutdown was over. Post Reply

It places some in a bad situation to not have their income to pay their bills when they have no money saved for emergencies and live check to check. Trump can lose support that way. I voted for Trump, but his approach on tariffs and talk of tariffs cost me thousands. Some cannot stomach these things well. Post Reply

Posted : 4 Oct, 2025 05:14 PM As I have explained before it likely wasn't President Donald John Trumps Tariffs that were the cause of your loss in the stock market but was the investment houses seizing on the opportunity to manipulate the stock market to cheat as many investors out of as much money as they could. The investment houses are no friend of the common investor that are often shaken down by them for quick cash. It used to be you could without any help find and invest in a good company and get at least 10% a year guaranteed growth but those days are gone. Now you have to try and find someone who knows how to play the game and play it well in order to maybe make 6%. But the wealthy can use their large amounts of investment money to manipulate the market to create their own wealth at the expense of the little guy who's sadly just along for the ride. Post Reply
