Spiritual formation in the news



Right up front I am going to say that the big problem in goverment is that government officials are tripping on each other (its a case of to many cooks spoil the broth, or as a former teacher of mine used to say "to many chiefs and not enough Indians")



Most of us know that the correct path that each of us needs to walk is the path of LOVE. However many people incorectly assume that hate is the oppsite of Love, but that is not exactly true. The oppsite of Love is fear. I want to teach people that rather than being on your gaurd and making sure that hate does not creep in, I say this be on your gaurd so that fear does not creep in.



I am not talking about the fear of a lion, thats a healthy fear. I am talking about a fear that leads to despair

Its a trick to cause people to feel like all hope is gone. Genesis 1:28



God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”



I like the word "subdue". Sure the word means to "take it down/tackle it". But also the word implies that there is a 100% chance of resistance. I understand that this life has been built incorectly...on purpose (hence the order to "subdue") Here is an excercise, pretend that you have been told that you have cancer, or some other negative diaganosis. I want you to imagine that at the hospital that you go to there is a new treatment (actualy its more than a treatment...its a cure) We will call this 'treatment' a med bed. Here is the deal, the sick person gets up on the med bed (its like a non invasive surgery) and 3 hours later the person wakes up and they are healed. (At this point I am asking each person to write there own story) As you get off of the table what song is being played? Are you going to sing along or are you going to dance...maby both! Can you see the outfit that you are wearing (I personaly do not think that its a black tie event, but it is a nice button up shirt event). I imagine that everyone within ear shot will hear about the new lease that you have signed on your life, but who is the first person that you are going to go out of your way to visit?



Right now I am not trying to get the words in perfect order, instead I am trying to get all of my friends on the same page. Spirituality is about creating a picture in your mind (the Bible calls this concept faith).



Almost 13 years ago the government dcided that it was going to resist what I thought needed to be done, well you guys know that saying "the bigger they are...the harder they fall". In short 80-90% of the government is near worthless or more accurate said "to many cooks spoil the broth" Within one year what we know as the government will look vastly different than it does today. I am not able to give a blow by blow analysis at this time but I can and will provide an article that makes me smile.

I am one of thoes guys that does not get worried at the thought of a governmental shutdown, instead I welcome the event. I say "Good...shut it down!" What kind of person wants to trust governmental officials to correctly distribute aid when we know that they give aid money that we want Americans to receive...but the government gave it all to another country.



I think that each of us is able to imagine how 'governmental life' might improve. I will suggest that the government receives weight loss surgery (With a chainsaw Hahahaha!)
