However I see a real problem. (I think an 'mp' is short hand for a member of parliment) And I feel that the bbc (British broadcasting center) should be able to explain the 'royal family succession. According to the bbc senior parliament members gave an oath of alliance to king Charles. https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-politics-62863194 I have done quit abit of work in the area of genealogy (that is tracking a persons family tree) and precision of names is sort of a big deal. I want to point out that British Parliment members, pleged alligence to a man that has been dead for over 350 years. Nearly 400 years ago a civial war was brewing in the British Islands, eventialy war broke out and the two diffrent sides were the armies that were loyal to king Charles and on the other side was the army on the side of Parliment. https://www.history.com/topics/british-history/english-civil-wars I am not just trying to give a random history lesson (Although history is neat!) But I am wanting to point out that the bbc reported that (2022) parliament members finally got behind king Charles (the one that was crowned in 1625). To further add to the story, after king Charles (unless a number is placed after the mans name, then the original man is being talked about) was put to death and Oliver Cromwell sort of took over. However, he abdicated the throne when the constitution would not allow him to marry Wallis Simpson.
