A message to the 'Normies'

Normies are the names that have been given to the people that act like information 'zombies'.



Its not a derogatory name, and it is not a name that I invented. But the name 'Normies' are people that are stuck into believing the normalcy bias.



Normalcy bias: is a cognitive bias which leads people to disbelieve or minimize threat warnings.



Imagine being on a ship in the ocean. Calm seas surround you, Normies want to think that because they are experiencing calm seas...then they think that the seas will always be calm. (Of course in its self this belief system is dangerous) but a larger problem appears when 'the look out man' spots a 30' rogue wave headed towards the ship. Suddenly the Normies become a drag on society. The look out man thinks the longest part of the ship should be pointed towards the oncoming wave. But the Normies will fight you tooth and nail until they are convinced that a wave is coming. But first the Normies need to be convinced that waves exist!
