All of the mistakes cant be an accident

One day (in about 2009) I was talking to a retired college history teacher that told me that he was concerned by the path that America was on because the path looked similar to the path that the Roman Empire was on (that ultimately led to the collapse)

Over the next few years I tried to keep an objective eye on the course that the country was on. It seemed to me that whoever was steering the car, that America was riding in, that group of leaders was driving through nearly every pot hole and swerve! Finally I had to sit myself down and force myself to honestly answer a question.

This is the question: 'Did I think that Amercia had managed to elect a group of leaders that were the most unlucky men in the history of the world.......or....... were we deliberately being ran through the ringer?'

I have settled the debate in my mind, but in a Loving yet firm manner I am forcing you to answer the same type of question. You dont have to explain your answer to me I just want you to be honest with yourself!

Do you think that 'the powers that be' are seriously looking out for your best interest? (When I look around I see a conflict of interest.)
