Pay attention to deductive reasoning.

One of the games that I sometimes enjoy playing is the game 'Clue'. The game is played by figuring out who is not guilty. Each player has a checklist of {say} 8 locations that the crime could have taken place...and slowly the player figures out what location was crime free. It would be like me knowing that sombody moved the book that I was reading, although the guilty party might not step foreward I can solve the mystrey if I know that no one had access to the book except that guy their!



Deductive reasoning is not just a skill for Sherlock Holmes, or even certain games. In everyday life I have told someone "why would I listen to you" (actions from a persons past, tends to be an indicator of future performance). So 'why would you waste your time following the advice of certain people'
