The democrats chose to respond with a tactic that we see in small children. If the child is guilty of eating the cookie that is not supposed to be eaten (the kid can not deny that the cookie is not missing) so they project what they have done onto someone else. <mom> 'Did you eat the cookie Jerry?' <Jerry> 'No, I did not eat the cookie..but Billy did.' <mom> 'If Billy ate the cookie then how did you get cookie crumbs on your face?' <Jerry> 'Its obvious that Billy wanted to get me in trouble, so he smeared the crumbs on my face.'
