Question #1 what Is OPEC?

A cartel is a collection of independent businesses or organizations that collude in order to manipulate the price of a product or service.

Cartels are competitors in the same industry and seek to reduce that competition by controlling the price in agreement with one another.

Tactics used by cartels include reduction of supply, price-fixing, collusive bidding, and market carving.

In the majority of regions, cartels are considered illegal and promoters of anti-competitive practices.

The actions of cartels hurt consumers primarily through increased prices and lack of transparency.

So in simple terms, we are being told that opec is a gang of mob bosses that meet together for the purpose of making sure that they do not interfere with each others 'business dealings' (that sounds a little shady)



So, the opec mob bosses want to look out for there members...right, uh no.

As a bonus we can start to understand that maby what the Russians are doing in Ukraine is not on a mission to kill innocent people, maby Russia is liberating Ukraine from the evil clutches of a world wide crime syndicate (and the opec members are saying 'that Russian troops need to stop operating in Ukraine)
