State Democrats voted to reduce the penalty from a felony to a misdemeanor for anyone purposely giving another person HIV. Said it stigmatizes those with HIV. In other words, it hurts their feelings. It's therefore just as bad according to Democrats to purposely give someone HIV as it is to not wear a facemask. Are the people listening? Post Reply

He spoke about the founding fathers of America who are often maligned by Marxists, socialists and the easily convinced. Marxists claim America’s founding fathers were racists because some owned slaves. I’ll have more on that topic later but suffice it to say, the founders were among those at the forefront of the growing abolitionist movement. Freeing the slaves was a difficult task back then. Just think how hard it’s been for those of us this last century at the forefront to rid this country of violence of abortion!! Some pro-life supporters where former abortion providers and many were men and women who took part in the killing of their babies but now regret having done so. Now they are champions taking part in the hopeful salvation of the unborn. Some of us have been working feverishly to stop abortion since the 70’s!!! It’s very discouraging to meet with devastating defeat after defeat. I can only understand the kind of resistance the founders faced. as any other worthy humanitarian movement subject to vigorous and often hostile opposition. When some tried freeing slaves the US Supreme Court stupidly declared slaves “non-persons”—sound familiar?? In 1972 they stupidly declared the unborn “non-persons”!! even those they were part of the abolitionist movement to end slavery. Some Post Reply

It wasn't until I saw 2016: Hillary's America that I started to really break out of what I call "student mode," which I define as "a mode of absorbing all information that's spoon fed to you through studying for exams without the time or will to double check what you're told, try to fill in gaps in what you're taught, or ask tough questions about what you're taught." Another amazing resource for historical information is Wallbuilders. Its creator, David Barton is another treasure trove of information about the Christian origins of the US and its founding documents. His group is in possession of some of the rarest documents and artifacts in history from the American Founding with a collection that is quite possibly second only to the Library of Congress. To give you an example of Wallbuilders' information, Dinesh D'Souza points to Sen. Strom Thurmond as the key evidence of a "big switch" between the Democrats and the Republicans to try to remove the blame for racism and slavery from the Democratic Party. In this idea, the racist Democrats (i.e. Dixiecrats) all became Republicans and the non-racist Republicans all became Democrats (as Dinesh has put it, 'The cops all became robbers and the robbers all became cops,'). Thurmond switched to the Republican Party and is basically one of only two examples that would support the notion of such a "big switch." To the best of my knowledge, D'Souza never explains why Thurmond Switched. However, Barton does explain it in a conversation recently recorded with Steven Crowder. He indicated that Thurmond's switch wasn't just whimsy. It was accompanied by a conversion to Christianity and a subsequent dropping of his racist views. After he switched to the Republican party, he appointed several African Americans to key positions in his staff, not to token 'nothing' positions, the way President Woodrow Wilson had, but as key strategists and advisors. His switch was clearly accompanied by a change of heart and mind. Wallbuilders' overall mission is to raise the awareness of Christianity's role in the founding of the United States, and they manage to do so quite effectively and would be another great resource to consult for anyone looking for a more complete view of history beyond the cherry picked names and dates thrown at us as students. Over 6o murders last weekend. Gangs/ criminals bare trying to take over poor neighborhoods. Black on Black Crime. MAYOR is a woman, she's Black and lesbian. The City is out of Control and Governor of State is busy with Covid 19 guidelines. Post Reply
