We drink to relax...when did intoxication become relaxation? We smoke herb, ganja, weed...it's just a plant, it's natural. Healthy...just what we need. Really...to fill our lungs with smoke? I thought people died from smoke inhalation. Whatever happened to taking a deep breath of fresh air to make our thoughts clear? We fog our minds with smoke, call it meditation. We tell ourselves it brings clarity. It awakens our minds to new enlightenment. A higher level of consciousness. When really it's just an illusion...what we think is a clearer vision of our reality is just a haze of confusion. How did our minds get so polluted? We think we're the missing link...the void we're born with is up to us to fill. We're all we need...all powerful. Please! When did our thoughts become so deluded? God help us! Open our eyes, our hearts, our minds to You. Let the light pierce through the darkness around us, dispelling the clever lies that surround us, lies so clever that seem so true because the enemy has painted a beautiful picture so very appealing...Lord let Your Son shine through revealing what we're becoming; what we're doing. We twist your Word backwards and forwards, turn it around until it becomes our truth, which isn't really truth at all but excuses to justify the flesh. We do what deep down we know is wrong but continue to do it because we've done it for so long...so long that we noLonger feel guilty. Our conscience has turned numb. We've almost forgotten the difference between what's right and what's wrong. We turn good into bad, bad into good. Hey, it's ok...God is love. He loves us. We're his children he forgives us. This couldn't be more true...He does love us. But he loves who we are. Not the sin that we do. And for all of us who ask, He is forgiving. But we cannot remain in the wicked way we are living. Sometimes when I look at this world, all I see is madness...unnatural unions, killing babies, and drugs are now normal, though once illegal and thought of as immoral and unheard of, now it's acceptable and lawful. I shake my head in great sadness. But you give me hope with each new day. You will heal this land with just one touch, if your people who are called by your name will humble themselves and pray and turn from their wicked ways. Lord, we repent...you've made us the righteousness of God in Christ. Please save your world...the effectual fervent prayer of the righteous availeth much. Lord, forgive us for we have sinned, we confess, we repent, turn back to you we seek your face, have mercy we're in desperate need of Your grace. In the great power of your unchanging, unending love, let our sins be erased. Together we stand, hear our cry oh, God...have mercy, please heal our land. Post Reply
