Of churches that have their own Bible translations, yes, the Jehovah Witness have their own now. They used to use King James. Now they have the New World Translation. But they frequently site other translations.
In the matter of Catholics, they have dozens of translations. Many of which are accepted by mainstream Christianity, such as the NRSV. I like the NRSV. The New Revised Standard Version is a very good Bible. I look to see how things are rendered in different Bibles.
Now I am hearing Leftist politicians taking Bible verses to win a few brownie points in their campaign.
Recently, I heard Govenor Tim Walz speak of "As you have done it unto the least of these, you have done it unto me." I thought, what hypocrisy. Immediately, I thought of unborn babies as the least of these and how Tim Walz policies welcome their deaths. Similarly, California Govenor Gavin Newsom used Christ's word "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" to promote abortion. This kindness extended from the Govenor of California was a response to the over turning of Roe vs. Wade and the restrictive policy of some states towards abortion. Thus, Gavin was portraying himself as a righteous man looking out for the humanity of others being denied Reproductive Rights and Welcoming these women from other states to come to California for free abortions as the right compassionate response. How religious of him!
Reminds me of the Devil using scripture too when tempting Jesus.
On the other matter, attacks go both ways. You attack others plenty in these blogs and you are frequent to criticize men and post abusive posts against men. That it goes both ways, should you complain?

In the Bible, rape was either "INSTANT MARRIAGE with no possibility for divorce" for a man having sex with a virgin not pledged to be married, OR THE DEATH PENALTY FOR BOTH if a virgin was pledged to be married and did not scream, OR THE DEATH PENALTY FOR THE MAN because the virgin pledged to be married did scream for help before being raped. It was often a gamble for the guy or a gamble for the two on the result. Some lived. Some died. The short was instant marriage or instant death when caught. Kind of like shot-gun marriages. Anyway, you did wrong to only pronounce death as that is not what the scriptures say. Depending on the factors, there was life or death. Never was there an abortion. No one much likes Deuteronomy 22:28-29. What person wants to follow God on that?

The Bible also teaches death penalty for adultery.
But your authoritativeness on the subject disregards other verses deliberately. You do not like Deuteronomy 22:28-29. As such, good it was Moses in charge and not you. A lot of dead men if you were to rule.
Anyway, where there is rape in the Bible, it never turns out well.
It is not the appropriate way of going about things and it is a gamble, the results. I don't recommend that any guy do this. There was Dinah. Then there was Tamar. And bloodshed. You and I disagree on a number of things, yet we both support Trump in these last two election cycles.
I think I disagree with Trump on a number of significant matters where I instead would be in agreement with you. I may disagree with Trump more than I disagree with you. Certainly, on some things, that is true. I want the best candidate out there. So, if you were running for office, I might vote for you when thinking of some other candidate, because I want the candidate that more lines with my thinking. Yet, for marriage, we would never marry; though I did like the film "When Harry Met Sally." Argument all the time, yet they lived happily ever after. They liked to express themselves. They liked to give their opinion on the matter. They liked to argue. They enjoyed a robust argument. They would have been bored without debate. It worked for them their differences.
I choose to be on this site even though I'm bored. But once in a while, I have a good conversation. More all this is a waste of time. But maybe someone has a pleasant moment once in a while.
Yes, we scare some people away on these blogs. I've even wondered if some of the writers killed themselves. One or two guys and a woman. They pronounced their problems, and we have not seen more words from them.
How is one able to help for the mental illness of some that come here?
It is a free forum. Each seeks his or her own. One divorced woman said she would divorce her husband if she caught him with porn and used lust as a reason for divorce. There are divorced women here looking for a man, and divorced men here looking for a woman. I am advertising myself through what I write to attract the type of person I want. I don't expect to find that person. I just advertise. More likely that others will find the type they want.
