That was a fairly easy call because miracles, tongues and the gifts of an apostles had all obviously ceased. But all of that was about to change. By the middle 1800s, the Pentecostal/Charismatic movement was about to begin. The original leaders of this movement believed miracles and tongues AND other should STILL be in operation. To make a long story short, the Pentecostals could produce NO biblical miracle as evidence to prove the gift of miracles is still in operation—to this VERY day ‼️‼️ This is a very sad story to tell. Large numbers of “Christians” continue to be fooled by Charismatic/Pentecostal false miracles, false tongues, false prophecies and false voices supposedly from God‼️‼️‼️ As for evolution, its current status also began about the middle 1800s. As for evolutionary evidence, NOTHING‼️ Not a single thread NO transitional form proving evolution ever took place Post Reply

Pentecostals/Charismatics boast some of the largest congregations. Similarly, Evolutionists have replaced theology as the queen of the sciences and have become the largest establishment of tenured scholars on college campuses. Both groups disagree with you. As a matter of spiritual gifts, my thought is more that of Luke 4:25-27 25 I assure you that there were many widows in Israel in Elijah’s time, when the sky was shut for three and a half years and there was a severe famine throughout the land. 26 Yet Elijah was not sent to any of them, but to a widow in Zarephath in the region of Sidon. 27 And there were many in Israel with leprosy in the time of Elisha the prophet, yet not one of them was cleansed—only Naaman the Syrian.” So, there appears to be a lack of miracles and a lack of spiritual gifts these days. I do believe they may exist. I also believe that they are rare. They are not given to everyone. They are not common. More common are THE FALSE. And as the saying goes, "Aw They're just pulling your leg." Matthew 12:39 He answered, “A wicked and adulterous generation asks for a sign! But none will be given it except the sign of the prophet Jonah. Yeah, the Fakes outnumber the real. Fake Science, Fake Prophets, Fake, Fake, Fake But will we acknowledge the real when we see it? I believe that God created everything "each according to its kind.” (Genesis 1) There is variation within a species, but we don't get apples from oranges. Now days, people genetically manipulate things, and Play God, and play Mad Scientist, but in nature, we do not have evolution. We do have birth defects. What we have in common is we all come from dust and the word of God. Ecclesiastes 3:20 All go to the same place; all come from dust, and to dust all return. Ecclesiastes 3:18-21 18 I also said to myself, “As for humans, God tests them so that they may see that they are like the animals. 19 Surely the fate of human beings is like that of the animals; the same fate awaits them both: As one dies, so dies the other. All have the same breath[c]; humans have no advantage over animals. Everything is meaningless. 20 All go to the same place; all come from dust, and to dust all return. 21 Who knows if the human spirit rises upward and if the spirit of the animal goes down into the earth?” Ecclesiastes 2:15 Then I said to myself, “The fate of the fool will overtake me also. What then do I gain by being wise?” I said to myself, “This too is meaningless.” I share your opinion that Evolution is Fake Science, and I share your opinion that spiritual gifts are far less common than represented. I am not the measuring stick, but it is evident that there is Fake Science and that there are Fake Prophets and plenty of Fake Gifts, and I prefer the Bible to all that. Is The Fake worth our time? I do believe they may exist. I also believe that they are rare. They are not given to everyone.” End quote. Many of the spiritual gifts are in operation today, just not all the gifts of an apostle and a few other gifts, ie the gift of miracles, tongues and interpretations of or prophetic predictions direct from the mouth of God apart from Scripture. Neither are people hearing God speak audibly to them as many claim Post Reply
