He lies in wait to catch the helpless; he catches the helpless and drags them off in his net. His victims are crushed, they collapse; they fall under his strength. He says to himself, “God will never notice; he covers his face and never sees.” Psalms 10:13 Why does the wicked man revile God? Why does he say to himself, “He won’t call me to account”? Psalm 10:14 But you, God, see the trouble of the afflicted; you consider their grief and take it in hand. I think an example of bad philosophy is: “Let us eat and drink,” you say, “for tomorrow we die!” Isaiah 22:12-13 The Lord, the Lord Almighty, called you on that day to weep and to wail, to tear out your hair and put on sackcloth. But see, there is joy and revelry, slaughtering of cattle and killing of sheep, eating of meat and drinking of wine! “Let us eat and drink,” you say, “for tomorrow we die!” Post Reply

God by his providence chose things to be a particular way, but we want it another way. We don't want God to have say. God chose me to be male, but I say I want to be female. God chose me to be female, but I say I want to be female. Have you not read that at the beginning, the Creator made us male and female? But we say, we do not want to be limited to the confines that God has established. Rebellion in its fullest! What wicked creatures we have become. Post Reply
