I'm actually from California, but i'm currently stationed here in Uruzgan, Afghanistan. It's a beautiful place. The landscape is gorgeous. There are huge, stunning mountains completely surrounding our tiny makeshift base, starry nights more amazingly clear than I have ever seen before and the simplicity that existed hundreds of years ago. The people are so simple and lovely. The children love us and they always crowd around us expecting candy and other stuff that we randomly bring them. There have been those days where we have had our close calls, but we are covered in prayer and no one has been hurt (and no one will be {Psalm 91}). Anyways, it's nice to meet you all! And Afghanistan is nice where I am. I am in the mountains, so it is VERY cold, but it is nice! I just wish I were HOME! But that time will come soon enough!
