Brothers?

Sisters?

How does someone become completely free of

Caring for what other people have to say about the way

They look? I have found my identity in christ and

Want to hear from others!

i think no matter what you say or do, you are always going to be affected in some way in a big or small amount by what people think about you, whether it be looks or not. I think it's apart of Human emotion that we want to be accepted and wanted. Though i could care less what someone thinks of me that i don't know, it still hurts to hear negative comments. I think it takes a group of people you trust to constantly build your self-esteem and make you feel accepted to really boost your self image. hope that helps

I have been working on the self esteem issue for yrs. It's a process, like anything else, it just takes time. I have found that if I remember that God made me, He dosen't make mistakes, I am how I am for a purpose. It's up to me to figure it out. God Bless:waving:

Yes, it does hurt when someone does not think well of us but we can take comfort in knowing that the person was not the right one for us anyway and they truely don't know our hearts. Also, we can take comfort in knowing that even with our imperfections God sees us as perfect in his eyes!!! He gives us back our value and worth! He must think we are pretty special because he sent his dear Son to die for us!! That is an extravagant kind of love and are human nature has a hard time comprehending that kind of love!! Blessings!!

Being in LA everyone is concerned about the Bollywood type of model that a woman should be...tall, skinny and who cares whats on the inside. Being in that type of environment you need to be strong in character and in what you believe through Christ.

Reading your profile it looks like you are emersed in the Word and also have a strong fellowship pipeline of great people that can pull you up when you are down. That is critical.

If you confident in your own skin (which it appears you are) then let people talk. They will anyway and like a great strong Christian we are carefully watched and sometimes ridiculed. Keep your head up and make them wonder why you are smiling.

In Christ,

Travis
