Let me start:applause:





I live in Kenya and we have 'swahili' being our national Language.



'Sasa'= 'Hi'



'Asante' = 'Thanks'



My native language is 'Kimeru' cause am from the 'Meru' tribe.And you say 'Muga' to mean 'How are you?' or 'Hi' and 'Ibwega' to mean 'Thanks'

Nice to meet you. I'm from the United States and am from Hispanic decent. The majority of my ancestors are from Spain and Mexico...Mexican Indian, so since you already know English, I'll show you the words in Spanish.



Hola ( h is silent ) = Hi



Gracias = Thank you :winksmile:



Muchas gracias = Thank you very much

Being American, I say Hi or Hello

and Thanks or Thank you

I can say both in Russian, also, though I can't spell it. :laugh:

My native language is English, but I am currently living in China. I don't know much of the language, but I can say "hi" and "thanks"!

Hi - Ni hao (knee how)

Thanks - Xie Xie (shay shay)

from Malaysia:



our national language: Malay

but often speak English, and Chinese dialects with friends

The chinese pronunciations are kinda difficult to write o'er here - i don't know how to spell them as same spelled words could be pronounced differently as the thank you for all 3 chinese dialects below):





Cantonese (a chinese dialect)

nei ho

mm koi



Hakka (a chinese dialect)

ngi hau

mm koi





Mandarin (another chinese dialect)

- as explained by another CDFF member above



Tamil (an Indian dialect)

(don't know how to say hi)

nandri (thank you in Tamil)





p.s. messin a bit with spanish also in my free time lol
