For me, gambling can lead to destruction. Everyone is different. We all have our weaknesses and strengths. Best to find out why you feel you need to gamble in the first place. Look at your motives etc. I gambled to make my lifestyle better...it didnt work. I just got further and further into debt. God wants us to rely on Him. Trust in Him for our needs. Being a christian, we should have a different outlook on life. Depending on God is what he wants. Not for us to get tangled up with gambling and hoping to win money etc. Anyway, that's my own personal view. Be good to hear what others think. Stay Blessed Jahnice Post Reply
Christiandaddy View Profile History	Should christians gamble? Posted : 8 Mar, 2011 12:57 PM The Bible is VERY CLEAR on the point of being good stewards with what God has entrusted us with. This is most vividly exemplified in the parable of the talents. Nothing we have is OURS....we are managers and caretakers for God. You cannot take what is not yours and gamble it away carelessly in the hopes of adding to what you are wagering. That is not good stewardship. The Lord also showed in His approach that He was always working. If He wasn't using His carpenter skills, He was teaching or Healing. He set Himself as an example for us that those who are able are expected to work for what they have. Take a look into Crown Financial Ministries. I took one of their classes, and they break down all of the ways that gambling is sinful. It was very helpful. Post Reply
lilsis101 View Profile History	Should christians gamble? Posted : 8 Sep, 2011 01:28 PM I was a cocktail waitress in casinos before receiving Christ as my personal Lord and Savior. I can tell you first hand that nothing good comes from gambling. Yes, The Bible does not say anything about casinos ie gambling. Here is my take on it. When you look at the destruction that the gambling industry as a whole produces...ie divorce, suicide, burglary etc. How can you in your good conscience being a steward over all God has given you put even one penny to support such an industry. If this is not helpful advice take it to the Lord! He is our very present Help in time of need. Blessings, lilsis Post Reply
