Where are the truly Godly women?
Posted : 2 May, 2010 12:34 PM

Sadly all I read on "christian" dating sites is women who love the pleasures and entertainments (movies, cruises, world travel, fashion, ect.) of the world and simply want a man to enjoy these things with them by their side.

Where are the women who are dead to this world and who's sole desire is to live for God and help others? Who meditate in His Word day and night and are fervent in prayer and abounding in good works.

Where are the women who live to the glory of God. Who actually follow the "what would Jesus do" rule. Who would never go anywhere they couldnt take Jesus and would never forsake going where Jesus wanted them to go.

Life is short! Do you want a man to take you to the Bahama's or to the Kingdom of God! I tell you sincerely that 'you cannot have both!' You cannot serve God and your flesh!

A man's primary responsibility is to wash his wife daily with the Word of God and keep her unspotted from the world that she may be prepared at death to enter the kingdom prepared for God's saints.

Where are the woman who only desire this. Not a man who will show her the world, but a man who will show her Christ!

I guarantee that on judgment day no lady will be thinking "I wish my man had taken me on one more cruise." NO they will be thinking "I wish my man had washed me with the true Word of God and prepared me for this eternally important day."

These truly are dark times. But I do believe there are truly Godly women out there.

If this is you and you live only for the glory of God and to do those things that please the Father at all times then please reply to this thread.

I do not not care what your profile is. If your 18 or if your 70 I just want to see some women stand up for true godliness in these last days.

May God be with us and bring Godly men and women together in holy union to produce a Godly seed!

For Him,

Mike

Hi Mike,

I took the chance to reply to this even though I do not ONLY to please God, I do other things as well.

I know for a fact that are Godly women here. They have prayed for me, given me a Word of Knowledge straight from the Holy Spirit and encouraged me.

I talked to one sister on the phone that I met here and as she cried for joy on the phone as I ministered to her, she said she knows that God ordained that particular time and this place (site) for us to meet.

I was just speaking of 3 women, 2 who are still here and 1 who has deleted her profile. If you go to their profiles, they have their interests, hobbies, likes and dislikes, what they are looking for in a man and who they are listed.

Just like me, they are single women of God, mothers who have to work and take care of their business. And yes, we go on vacation and still find the time to fulfill our calling, minister as the Holy Spirit leads at the grocery store and to our friends and family.

Some people (men and women) are called to give their whole life in service to God. They can go overseas and do outreach and missionary work. They are free and have been given the grace to do so. The rest of us have to find balance.

I will give you that there are all kinds here on this and every other site. Everyone is not who they say or appear to be. Ask God that your discernment be keen, so you don't overlook a true, real woman of God just because she hasn't impressed you in the small space provided in her profile.

I'm glad you chimed in because you hit the nail on the head. It is precisely this philosophy that is the cause of there being few women of God.

If we think that we are somehow exempt from denying ourselves, taking up our cross and following Jesus wholeheartedly in total renouciation of this world and the plesaures it's master offers then we are both non-scriptural and deluded.

Jesus said "you cannot serve two masters." You cannot be a lover of pleasure and a lover of God. You will either hate the one or love the other.

Why did Jesus die ?

2 Corinthians 5:15 And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.

Titus 2:14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

1 Peter 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

According to scripture he died so that we would no longer "Live for ourselves" that we might "Be purifiied and zealous of good works" and that we might "Live unto Righteousness."

There is no balance here. We live unto Christ in all things.

1 Corinthians 10:31 Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.

Colossians 3:17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

Anything we do must be done "For the Glory of God." Whether we are called to be Apostles or givers. We are to do everything for God's glory and only those things which are calculated to bring Him the most glory.

Can we take 1000's of dollars and spend them on our own pleasures while God's children are suffering and millions have not heard the gospel? Is this "To the glory of God". Do we have this right?

Are we not bought with a price?

1 Corinthians 6:20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

Our body and spirit are GOD'S ! Not our own to do what we please with. We are simply stewards.

Remember the parrable of the sheep and the goats.

Matthew 25:41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

Matthew 25:42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:

Matthew 25:43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.

Matthew 25:30 And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Why were the strangers, the sick, the imprissoned, ect. neglected? Because the supposed 'children of God' were out on a cruise saying "well, thats not my calling". RIGHT?

Lets wake up and work righteousness with these spirit's and body's that God has loaned us while we are on this earth. Lets not live to please the flesh (body) but live to please the Lord. for...

Romans 8:13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

Mike,

I think what she meant was that not everyone can go overseas or another country for mission work due to having children here or family or job, you get the picture.

For myself, i do ministry every day...I've been feeling like I'm about to jump off this huge diving board into God's purpose for me. Right now He uses me in alot of areas, mostly inner healing. Sometimes other things, but each day there is a divine encounter at some point of my day.

I take up my cross daily, go through sufferings like the next person and here I am, looking...just like you.

I ask too...where are the men of God? Where are the men who will answer or are answering the call? That's who I want to come alongside.

I hear you

blessings,

Riveroflife

Wow!! I was going to ask you what you do for fun, but evidently the answer is nothing. Again, I say wow. Dang, for real? No movies, no amusement parks, no massages, nothing?

Number one, I agree with scripture, it is not debatable.

Number two, I just don't agree with your interpretation of it.

I understand that I was bought with a price and that I am no longer my own. All the scriptures you quoted are very familiar passages.

I can see this going no where fast, so I will not toss scripture back and forth with you to try to persuade you of anything, when it is evident that we don't see it the same way.

We all are to work out our own salvation with fear and trembling.

One thing I will say is that the Bible whose scriptures you are quoting also says not to judge. If you believe that we all (the majority of people everywhere) are that far in error, your responsibility is to pray in love.

There is also a scripture that speaks of being so heavenly minded that you are no earthly good.

Not rebuking in this post specifically, in general.

I m very bold and direct in person and I believe God has created me this way.

God gave me a Word for my youngest daughter when she was 1 year old. He told me to pray for wisdom on how to raise her because He had given her boldness to preach His Word. He said to pray so that I would not break her spirit.

And man! Does she have a mouth on her! She is just like me!

I want to make sure I'm not being offensive on these forums here. You are my role model! :dancingp:

John 10:10 (King James Version) "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."

in genesis, God used to take walks with adam and eve in the garden. they used to just chill. i could imagine him hanging out with them as they went about their daily lives. it is written John 17:15 (King James Version) "I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil."

the new adam aka Jesus Christ came to free us from sin and allow us to live life more abundantly, he also asked God to keep us from evil but not to take us out of the world. why? read the parable of the wheat and tares. his yoke is easy and his burden is light, i will enjoy the majesty of Christ and i want my SO to be with me through it all (it should go without saying that Christ is present too). david spoke about the majesty of God, i would like to live in it, daily... i would like to look up at the sky and "be still and know that he is God"

you see, it is not about the pleasures of the flesh, but it is about walking every step with Christ as though we were in the garden. 2 Peter 1:1-11. i would like to point out however 2 Peter 1:9 "But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins." once we have strived and attained these things the old man is dead, while we are striving we are denying the old man, that does not mean we would stop hanging out with friends etc it simply means we deny the prince of the power of the air and giving all glory to God. it's inside you see.... it's like the analogy that manofgod gave about the old house that is in dilapidated condition on the outside but the master builder is on the inside doing an amazing work! our actions are pointless it is that heart which cries out to God. God bless brother.

"I was going to ask you what you do for fun, but evidently the answer is nothing."

You see this another fatal mistake.

You see for the Christian, FUN = Doing the will of God!

John 4:32 But he said unto them, I have meat to eat that ye know not of.

John 4:34 Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.

You see, for the Christian, FUN is doing the will of the Father and finishing his work. It is his "MeAT" or "what satisfies him."

This is the difference between the Christian and the world. The Christian finds his pleasure and fulfillment in doing the will of God, the worldly find their pleasure in some sort of fleshly stimulation physical or emotional.

The funest thing a Christian can do is win another person to the Lord, or help someone in need, or lift up another believer, or visit the fatherles, or help widows in their distress.

The Christian rejoices to go visit widows ! He does not say, "Darn, I have to go visit Mrs. xxxx, I cant wait until Im done so I can go to Disney world and have some 'real fun"

If this is ones heart then THEY ARE NOT BORN AGAIN. You either love Christ and his work, or you love the world.

Which does our heart delight in ? A cruise to the bahama's or a trip downtown to drop off some food and clothing to the homeless and show compassion and share the gospel with them?

Which is more "FUN" ??? Please consider the answer? It will show whats in our hearts.

You alone know the answer. I exhort you that if your heart would rather go to Disney World and spend 4k on fulfilling you and your families lusts then taking that money and helping those in need then you are far from the heart of God!

We are just strangers and pilgrims in this world passing through. Soon life will be over and we will give an account of what we have done with the time and money given into our care as stewards.

May we be faithful till the end.

Mike
