Posted : 16 Mar, 2010 08:59 PM Why...............??? you are displaying an image why on earth would you be too busy to display your image on a dating site, it shows the care factor you place on things, a lack or shortfall in core values should not be placed on a dating site such as an empty space, it tells me you dont care about anything, and something as important as that is secondary then you don't derserve finding the right one maybe harsh but true! Stop cryin' Pluc, no one feels sorry for you. :laugh: I almost didn't comment because you have literally worn me out with all your crazy talk for the last few days. Then I started to be contrary and not come over just because you said I was. But I have some burning questions, so I have to ask. Hi Gigbahama! You're like famous, one of this site's featured profiles. I like your picture. Very nice, in my opinion. Okay, you have stated that people are 'too busy' as a reason why some don't post pictures. That not posting a picture shows you that they don't care. That not posting a picture shows a deficit or using your words, a lack or shortfall in core values. And finally, since all of this is true, that they don't deserve to find the right one. Whew! That IS harsh. At the beginning of the post you say, why...........? One of my questions is why do you care? You sound a little angry or at least annoyed, enough to post your displeasure at the choice people have made here on the forum. There are soooo many more profiles with pictures than that don't. We are all here to either make friends or find our significant other and since people not posting a picture has such deep ramifications to you, it actually is a tool you can use. Since you say they don't deserve the right one anyway, why don't you just skip over their profiles and concentrate on the 'deserving' people that took the time to post pictures? How about the ones that are not satisfied with any current pictures they have and are planning to post some when they come in? How about the ones that are intimidated by the other pictures they see (perhaps yours is one) that they deem beautiful and because of having low self esteem, they don't post? How about the people that have time, but just chose not to post one? As Christians, since the Word is our truth, do you have a scriptural reference to back up your assertion that those that are too busy to post a picture, don't deserve to find the right one? FIRST OF ALL- to save the drama and my sanity, let me make it perfectly clear in the beginning so as not to provoke, offend, or rile anyone. I've made too many friends here-- God created all people in His image, we are all BEAUTIMUS! ALL of God's creatures posses a beauty unique to that individual. Some of us may take more pride in their beauty, some take better care, but we are all pretty people. That being said, I, personally, (this is just me, a hick amongst the banjo-pickers) would like to see a picture with a profile. I would like to see the image behind the screen, so to speak. They say the eyes are a window to the soul. Sometimes you can tell a lot about a person just by looking at them. Sometimes not. But, I would at least like a clue. Here are the reasons I ( me, myself, banjo picker hick, ) think some don't show their picture: Yes, some people are insecure about their appearance. They may have been told they didn't hold up to the standards set by today's society. It is up to us as Christians to reassure those in doubt. Some people may actually have something to hide. They may be in the public eye and afraid they would be recognized and ridiculed, or maybe bad for business. Some are afraid their ex may spot them in here.(maybe come after them) Some may be married :excited: yes, there are those that do that on all sites. Some may be spammers. CDFF can't catch everyone. Some have their own reasons known only to them. In any event, yes, I would like to see their picture on here. Although I realize I'm no Brad Pit, I'm secure enough to post my picture out there for all the world to see. I think it would be nice if others would as well. But, I realize not everyone feels that way. That's their right. There's no rule that says you have to, but I think if they want a better chance of finding a mate, they oughta do it. The way I (ME) look at it, when you go fishing, if you ain't got no bait on your hook, your chances of landing a lunker are purty slim. That's just me. Post Reply

I think everyone (we are constantly reminded in the red writing) that your chance of making a connection increases with a picture posted. Pluc is personally concerned about how the women look, Ms. Gigbahama is irritated to the point of saying that those without a picture don't deserve to find the right one. If your profile is on point and your pictures are all good, why have such strong feelings about what others choose to do? Post Reply
