I put up a thread on establishing a section for writers to LINK. A similar forum area would be good perhaps for photographers, artists, etc.
You post was well-written. What else do you write? Are you happy to be published on-line? Or do you, like me, still learn to be found in a book or magazine?
Another issue with regard to connecting with others:
I got a wink from someone, but I can't contact them back because they have in their limiting criteria either an AGE RANGE that Excludes me, or they say "Must not drink."
Well, I don't drink in the sense that many of my unsaved co-workers drink. I have NEVER been drunk. I have an occasional glass of wine, but I guess, in my mind I am still NOT a "drinker."
SO, if people here want to contact someone and converse, then they must be careful about the specifications that they have in force with regard to who may or may not contact them.
I have changed the parameters on my email so that most can send emails.. So please if there are any writers out there I was very serous about connecting. Thanks
She sat in the dark...the only light coming from across the street and entering her room as tiny beams of light through slits caused by her cat Leo's scratching away at the aluminum foil which covered every window in her apartment. The only sound the "tap...tap...tapping" of her keyboard as she answered questions in the chatroom she was in.
SweetBreadofLife was her screename and the photos were that of a young (29 years old) girl that Sally had gotten off the internet (she reminded her of a yoiung Sally Fields).
The other noise that could be heard was the wheezing ahe made when she breathed...almost a whistling.
"Warmglow343...you jerk!" Sally whistled!
She had stopped taking her meds a week ago and it was showing in her behavior.
"Warmglow...you're so funny" she hit send. "What a jerk" she thought.
Leo came and looked at the screen and then gave her a look.
Sally suddenly stood up straight and flayed at the air
"Begone...Begone I tell you. In the Name of Jesus...BeGONE!!"
The demons were coming at an increased pace since she quit taking her meds. Sally was a 58 year old Bi-polar male named Joseph. Leo was also a figment of his imagination. Joseph was on 23 people's Favorite's List. Go figure?
I dunno . . . this Archibald laddie . . . should we let 'im in? E's a bit blarney, if yer catchin' my meanin' . . . .
Well, count me in, flood! I can put a few words together in a fun way once in a while . . .
And thanks for letting me know about this thread! Welcome to the Forum! (Which apparently you've been skulking around in without my knowledge somehow . . .)
Thanks for passing the word flood. Welcome val. I was going to send you an email but your paramters would not allow it. So I will just say welcome...... Can't wait to read something of yours wings
