AVOIDING SCAMMERS - INVESTIGATIVE TIPS IF YOU ARE NOT SURE

Having once been fooled for a few weeks by a scammer - but not losing any money - and having been emailed by scammers many times by people who were scammers - I am passionate about this subject.

I have also gotten attached to women - who had some appearances of being a scammer. Of course they could live anywhere, but by far most of them are from overseas.

Some things I have done to clarify whether or not someone is a scammer - is the following.

Talk to them on the phone. If they will not give you their phone number, particularly if they are overseas, that's a huge red flag.

Its also harder for a scammer to make up things in real time.

Scammers usually post photos of someone else - and will usually not be able to produce childhood photos - so its helpful to prove they are not a scammer if they can do that. Most would not be able to do so.

Find out where they attend church, how long they have been attending church there - and if the church has a website. In one case - I went as far as getting the church's phone number, calling and talking to the pastor about the lady in question (overseas) and he was able to verify who she was and speak for her character. I was getting ready to send her money for airfare - and her country was known for scamming American men for lots of money.
