Admin	I Never Signed In Here Posted : 28 Jul, 2009 06:02 PM Dude, wassup wit dat? Better late than never, eh? Here, I'll introduce myself and let you into my world for a moment. Yikes. Watch out for the empty pizza boxes. Nono. We can't throw them out yet, They gots coupons on them for pizza specials. 8 pizzas for the price of 6. That's a great deal. Oh yeah, I was introducing myself. I'm Robert. A 42-year old Texas and before you say anything, I mean Texan. I don't mean Cowboy. If "America's Team" went 0-16, that'd still be 2 wins too many. Oops. Looks like just about every Texas female done put me on block. My passion for the Lord and the burden He has laid on my heart is the driving force that leads me to being a Compassion child sponsor. I believe that the Lord will provide so that I can always remain faithful to that. Course, that does mean I have to stay financially responsible. I don't think we can blow our money on video games and then expect God to make money magically appear so that we can continue a ministry. That's also how I view miracles. Everyone wants a miracle. Many of us think a miracle is a parting of the Red sea event. I dunno. Maybe the fact that God can take a sinner like myself and use him to feed a child thousands of miles away is a miracle. I guess I should say I'm looking for someone since this is a dating site. But I don't really know that I am going to be searching through a thousand profiles to find someone. The reality is, I'm probably going to jump onto these forums, put myself out there in just regular conversation. If this draws someone to me, that's great. If it just means I may help someone's walk or they help mine, even better. I think I may have said more in this post than I did on my profile. One last thing: I promise not to e-mail anyone and tell them "you're yummy". Thanks for reading this and look forwards to sharing God's love with all of you. Robert Post Reply

I also sponsor a child through Compassion International, a little boy in Honduras. I am so blessed by his letters. I am especially blown away that he prays for ME! Thank the Lord for He makes it possible for me to do this. And you are right Robert, it is a priority. This is something I definitely budget for & consider to be part of my 'pkg'. The little girl I sponsor is in Mexico. I've been to Mexico several times & can read, write, & speak Spanish, so we write to each other in Spanish (w/an English translation of course for Compassion's purpose's). What a blessing this has been in my life & hers too. I like what you said Jodie about your child praying for you; mine does the same. I wonder if we could have another section here to post stuff like Compassion/donations/Operation Christmas Child/charitable kinds of things? Just a tho't.........
