Posted : 25 Jun, 2009 05:09 PM Hello!! :: waves :: While I'm not entirely new to this site, I have found it to be a blessing for those of us out there in churches without some sort of singles ministry/programs. If you do not donate, please consider so to keep it free for God's glory!! I have a prayer request for anyone who will pray.. my uncle was diagnosed with advanced lung cancer and has lost about 20 lbs. The doctors are treating him with aggressive chemo now for the next 6 months, and we are hoping for a few more years of his companionship here in the fallen world. His name is Peter like my grandfather who just recently left us in Nov. 2008, and he looked very healthy. I didn't even know he smoked, not sure if anyone else in the family knew but my grandmother is just now finally getting out and spending time after suffering a great loss; they were married for 63 years.. and that is truly something to admire. She is 85 and everyone was concerned that the news about my uncle would literally stop her heart, happening so soon after grandpa leaving us. It's been a very emotional battle for many of us in the family, if you could keep us all up in your prayers it would be most appreciated. The last few months I've spent my nights practically in tears as I've never lost anyone in my family before, and this news about my uncle hit an area still healing. Any prayers are appreciated!
