Heeey! Greetings fellow Canadian. Glad to see you on here posting.

You're into traveling - where all have you gone/what's your most memorably places and why?

Sadly, there's no "travel" section in the forums...yet.... but I think I'm going to hijack one of the categories and put a post on travel cause there's so many here who enjoy traveling.

Welcome,

Ian

Hi Ian,

Thanks for the reply!

Yep.. I like to travel just wherever the Lord takes me. From the Philippines, the Lord took me to Canada, also lived in the US for a few years then now back in Canada. :-)

One of the best places I've been to was the Grand Canyons.. Just to be there marvelling at God's magnificent creation was so awesome and breathtaking! I also liked Hawaii and some really neat places in Brazil. I've been to major cities in the US (like NYC, Chicago, Los Angeles, Austin, Houston, Orlando, St. Louis, Phoenix, Las Vegas, amongst others) and love to travel most especially if it involves some type of God's work like visiting different churches and doing some type of missions work.

Thanks for the invite, Ian. Hoping to get to know new christian friends here!

God bless,

Rina

Well of course you came back to Canada - Canada is the best! :-) (...isn't it?)

>One of the best places I've been to was the Grand Canyons.. Just to be there marvelling at God's magnificent creation was so awesome and breathtaking!

Agreed. Did you brave the canyon, or stick to the rim? And where exactly did you go? (i.e., north rim, south rim, Indian point, yada yada)

Still one of my most favourite places on planet earth. Went to Hell's canyon, which is deeper, but nowhere near as impressive looking because the highest peaks are so far back you can't see'em.

> I also liked Hawaii

...now you're just making me jealous! I really want to see Wamaiea canyon (is that how you speel that?) - an excellent example of a "water gap" from Noah's flood.

Egads! You have been around! Do you mind if I ask what kind of missions work you were doing?

I did some short-term outreaches; part of a YWAM team we went into what is now the Ukraine about a month after the communist government fell. WILD. Running from the Russian mafia (and trying to preach to them at the same time), being invited in to all the schools and hospitals; we had wide open doors. It was incredible.

God bless,

Ian
