First, let me say that I am pleased with how quickly CDFF handles potential scammers. I have received a few messages I found suspicious and before I could even decide how to respond, the user has been blocked and/or removed. One time I was concerned and CDFF was immediately on it.

This increases my confidence with using this site, for let's face it, this is similar to deliberately walking in the Spirit. We walk through these profiles by faith and not by sight... Well, maybe a little by site! We hope and perhaps even assume, that since it's a site for Christians, everyone here is genuine, without wicked intent. Unfortunately that is not the case! I must pray for increased discernment, asking for wisdom in every online circumstance.

I question why young men in their 30's are checking out women nearly 60. Does that seem inappropriate to anyone else? Should I be wary, and should I report the kid as suspicious? I feel God holds us accountable if we discern something as possibly having a wrong motive and do not warn others. Yet I have known men who preferred older women (none were saved). Still, a 20+ age difference is a bit much, don't you think?

I read one guy's profile where he doesn't accept any input from gals over 45 and he's 60! I know guys are attracted to younger women, however, it saddened me that a professed Christian could be so obviously carnal. How is that showing himself as a Godly man - one after the heart and mind of Christ?

I'm new to online "dating" and still learning appropriate protocols and how to be available for the door God wants me to walk through.

Blessings in Christ Jesus

I'm with you on this one, Sister! It's to the point now where it's almost amusing how the enemy pokes his nose in stuff, and how attentive we need to be in praying for those younger ladies (and men) that may be blind-sided....

I believe it is a lustful and perverted spirit for any man to want a girl that is young enough to be his daughter (or grand-daughter)....and a form of abuse to rob them of their own youth with someone closer to their age....

I've blocked my settings so they can't even contact me and if they "favorite" me I block them. :-D But I am reminded to keep others in prayer in this area...

**REMEMBER - this is not only a "christian" sight, but we stand for godly character and not just a "religion". While I'm at it; if you are not following Christ, then why are you here??? Muslims do not follow Christ.... *sigh - I'm just saying* :-) Ladies (and gentlemen) - Be certain to read about who you are talking to and check what you have stated in your own profile. If you don't know check/google something or ask... Protect yourself and pray each time you log on here for God to guide you in your interactions. Blessings to all!!

Oh, and yes, I have also seen guys in the 30's post that they aren't looking for anything more than sex; no they didn't say "hook-up" he said "sex". And since I'm not the police here; everyone has their own life and he wasn't "scamming" someone I let it go, but that is not godly behavior. Please keep that in mind and if your intents are not Christ-like then you may want to try another sight. There are plenty of them.
