Morning Warning

This morning as we watched the ambulance and two police cars, as I saw them pull the white sheet over her bloody head, I wondered how many times she had heard him say I'm sorry. I wondered about broken dreams like glass shattred into so many pieces it can nver be put together again and about the true power of love and friendship that heals lives through Jesus, faith is in action and feelings.

No one that truly loves someone would do that.

I find that far too many people, especially Women, watch those horrible stories about killing and kidnapping and violent crimes and it just makes the viewer into a paranoid person.

Even the cable / satellite shows made for Woman are always filled with those violent stories, and such ideas really do warp a person's brain.

I tried watching those kind of shows and I felt myself being sucked into that mentality so I stopped myself.

Now I watch uplifting shows like the Jane Austen stories, or romances like the "My Big Fat Greek Wedding","Ever After", and watching nice shows make me feel nice.

I say to turn the channel when ugly stuff comes on TV.

A lot a Women that I meet are obviously paranoid about that stuff and I ask them and they tell that yes they do watch the scary shows.

Maybe some day a violent act will happen to you or to me or to them, but when we watch that stuff then the violence is happening to our brain and to our personality every time we view it.
