(if you listen to, it just ignore it).

Thanks, brothers in Yeshua.

Not secular music

Most modern Christian music isn't a whole lot different than secular music other than the words. You would think that would be enough. But the reality is that many people idolized the Christian Musicians in the same way they do secular Musicians.

I'm an audiophile from way back and like both secular and Christian music, but very few of each. Secular music for me was mostly about how well the music was written and how well it sounded on my audio setup. The vocals were not usually a priority for me because they rarely sounded as good as the instrument part. There was a lot of secular music I liked that were mixed so poorly that I would only listen to them on the radio and never buy them because of the low quality of the recording.

For me Christian music is difficult because I wanted to hear the right words/vocals along with good instrumentals. That combination was difficult to find and still is. Most modern Christian music isn't fit for worship because you can't really sing along unless you have a high voice which most men don't have. In fact many so called "worship songs" are that way.

I have some old tapes of worship songs from the mid 80s that were written and preformed by mostly men and are the best worship songs I've ever had the pleasure to worship God with. There not famous musicians so they're no one anybody's heard of. To me the most valuable Christian music are the one's written to be sang by everyone at home and in Church to worship God.

I also don't think there's anything wrong with secular music that doesn't promote sin or Satan. As long as you don't worship it and let it lead you astray then enjoy.
