Creation of fish and birds

This is really interesting and something that came to me one day when I was watching a nature show. Here's the scripture I'll be referring to:

Gen 1:20 And God said, Let the waters swarm with swarmers having a living soul; and let birds fly over the earth on the face of the expanse of the heavens.

Gen 1:21 And God created great sea-animals, and every living soul that creeps with which the waters swarmed after their kind; and every winged fowl after its kind. And God saw that it was good. LITV

The fish and birds were created on the same day. Here are some things to observe about this.

Fish swim in schools and birds fly in flocks.

Fish and birds have tails that are used to steer them through the water or air.

Fish have fins they use to move them through the water and birds have wings that move them through the air.

Both fish and birds move as a group in exact geometric patterns. Observe that when a flock of birds make a turn every bird turns at the same time regardless of it's position in the flock as if they all have the turn down to a precise move. Schools of fish do the same thing in the water.

Here's a thought: we see that prior to this even the land and waters were separated. Now observe this event:

Gen 1:24 And God said, Let the earth bring forth the soul of life according to its kind: cattle, and creepers, and its beasts of the earth, according to its kind. And it was so. LITV

Now I wonder about something. Can it be that the birds and fish were created from water? I ask this because they are so similar and Scripture does not mentioned that they are made of the earth and because the point is made very clear that the other animals are made from the earth. The water brought forth fish and birds and the earth brought forth the rest of the animals.

I have not done any research to see if there are other similar observations like mine.

What do you think?

Wow! Interesting observation, Thunder! Genesis 1:20 (KJV) - And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, And fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven. - As many times as I've read Genesis and that never dawned on me! I do believe they were created from water. Thanks Thunder!

Hi brothers,

Look again:

20 Then God said, Let the waters abound with an abundance of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the face of the firmament of the heavens. 21 So God created great sea creatures and every living thing that moves, with which the waters abounded, according to their kind, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. 22 And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth. 23 So the evening and the morning were the fifth day.

It means that God created sea creatures which lived in waters.

How did He do it? We will ask Him later. :dancingp:

But not water produced these creatures but god produced them (we do not know where in water or not).

It makes a lot of sense to me, Thunder. God created man from the dust of the earth, woman from the rib of a man, animals from the earth. It's very believable to me that fish and birds could have been created from the water. Thank You for posting this. It's Very interesting!
