Calvinism, Wheat and TaresPosted : 17 Apr, 2011 07:46 AMIn the parable of Wheat and Tares the expressed reason for Not pulling out the Tares to early is they can easily be confused with the Wheat. So to avoid accidentally pulling up any Wheat by mistake you wait until they mature when they can be identified as Wheat or Tares. |

Calvinism, Wheat and TaresPosted : 17 Apr, 2011 01:27 PMThe very idea of The father choosing some and rejecting some is totally is void of him truth and love. |

Calvinism, Wheat and TaresPosted : 17 Apr, 2011 01:49 PMWe do know who he has chosen, very simple those that have been ransomed, and by their choice accepting his sacrifice on their behalf. |

Calvinism, Wheat and TaresPosted : 17 Apr, 2011 07:34 PMAre the wheat and tares any different than the sheep and the goats. There will be those who will say "Lord ., Lord . . etc and they will not have known Him. Are these not the goats or the tares? Of course He has every right to condemn anyone e wants. If love will not condemn then is it truly love? If love does not know the difference between good and evil and does not say so then is it truly love? I think not because love will always know the difference and always condemn what is evil and protect what is good from what is evil. Without condemnation the sacrifice of Jesus was a waste of time. Love was expressed on the cross so that a line coule be drawn in the sand. When someone crosses the line they deserve to be condemned. God is acting out of love when He condemns. |

Calvinism, Wheat and TaresPosted : 17 Apr, 2011 07:39 PMThunder, According to Calvinism and from what I gather in posts here from Calvinists, God only loves His 'elect' and hates the non-elect sinner, so love has nothing to do with God condemning a person. They were hated and condemned before they were born. |
