Hear, can man hear?

This one word is one of the simplest truth's, but yet vital truth's to mankind.

In the parable of the sower Jesus teaches mankind that this is how the kingdom of God operates and if you do not know and understand this parable, you will not understand any of the parables.

He says he that hath an ear to hear let him hear: we know there is more to this statement than having physical ears, it does not a choice to made by the hearer, in hearing it will require the hearer to believe what he hears, and ultimately act accordingly to what he has heard.

Mr 4:23 If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.

Mt 13:43 Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Lu 8:8 And other fell on good ground, and sprang up, and bare fruit an hundredfold. And when he had said these things, he cried, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

The parable of the sower is recorded in three of the four gospels, Mt. 13:18, Mr. 4:9, Lk. 8:4

These truths are for the sinner and the saint if you will study the parable of the sower, you will see there where types of hearers, but of the four there was only hearer that produced good fruit.

The responsibility of all aspects of the teaching is on the hearer, if you will study this parable you will this is how an individual is saved.

Hearing as with the intent to obey quickly

Believing with the heart (not the mind)

Acting in accordance to what you have heard and believed.

This is exactly the fruitful hearer does, some say that faith is a gift, and that is not true.

Faith cometh by hearing and hearing the word of God, faith is inherent in every word of scripture, so when you hear the word of God on a subject faith for that truth cometh to the hearer, the hearer then chooses to believe, or not believe.

Heb 4:2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.

So as you meditate upon these truths you will realize that bible faith as mentioned in Romans 10:17 and the just shall live by faith is an action

Faith is an action:

spiritual senses

so It's can be said that all five human senses have their spiritual counterparts--

i. We have a spiritual sense of taste If indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious 1 Peter 2:3. Taste and see that the LORD is good! Psalm 34:8

ii. We have a spiritual sense of hearing: Hear and your soul shall live (Isaiah 55:3). He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches Revelation 2:7

iii. We have a spiritual sense of sight: Open my eyes, that I may see wondrous things from Your law Psalm 119:18. The eyes of your understanding heart being enlightened Ephesians 1:18

iv. We have a spiritual sense of smell: He shall be of quick scent in the fear of the LORD Isaiah 11:3, I am full, having received from . . . you, a sweet-smelling aroma Philippians 4:18

v. We have a spiritual sense of touch or feeling: Because your heart was tender, and you humbled yourself before the LORD 2 Kings 22:19. The hardening of their heart who being past feeling, have given themselves over to licentiousness Ephesians 4:18-19

Ga 3:2 This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

Ga 3:5 He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

Ga 3:8 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.

Bahira I just put together what the lord has taught me in yrs past.

Hey jude ( no don't worry i won't sing the beatle's version :):) )

ty for the welcome & the compliment --pleased to meet you :waving: i am working on listening more intently to The Holy Spirit, myself these days -- we do tend to get somewhat "tone deaf" when we lean on our own understanding Prov 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart

Yes it is a time where as the Spirit is saying be not of your own persuasion but be fully persuaded that time is short and the church is to be fully prepared for the final harvest and the glory of the lord will be made manifest as never before as the former and latter rain come upon the earth, that the father may gather unto himself his harvest of souls. There is a day coming when man will fall under the power of God in public and get up saved........!!!

Isa 60:1 Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.

60:2 For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.

60:3 And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.

60:4 Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to thee: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at thy side.

60:5 Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto thee.
