SHalom SHalom Saints

i have been writting bible commentaries off & on last couple of years or so none of which by the i try to sell for money--just for witnessing tools & as a hobby--this time i would really like some input feel free to add any suggestions to it let's see what we can up with by resurrection Easter Day

"Pierced for love"

exodus 21

If the ox gores a male or female servant, he shall give to their master thirty shekels of silver If a servant was killed under such circumstances, the price of restitution was thirty shekels of silver, which was considered the price of a slave.

reminiscent of the goring ox is the goring bulls of bashan found in psalms 22:12 which reads

Many bulls have compassed me strong bulls of Bashan have beset me round

when i think of the "goring of a servant" it's the one & only suffering servant who humbled Himself having his hand's & feet pierced for our sins

Isaiah 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities the chastisement of our peace was upon him and with his stripes we are healed

Significantly, this was the same price Jesus was "sold" for Judas betrayed Jesus for thirty pieces of silver Matthew 26:14-15

Mat 26:14 Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went unto the chief priests,

Mat 26:15 And said [unto them], What will ye give me, and I will deliver him unto you? And they covenanted with him for thirty pieces of silver.

I understand you are seeking help with your commentary, but I don't know what your commentary is all about nor what direction you are trying to go.

ok, but you still must have a direction of what you are trying to bring to light... I would think. otherwise how can you properly compare what is or what isn't.

BTW, don't we already know that the Old Testament is a mirrow of the New Testament and things to come? Does not God tells us this?

 you're funnee!... why be creative when the word of God's truth already tells us of the shadow of things to come?

I think your Pot Luck commentary may be just that , POT LUCK... lucky if you can defend your stance by trying to fit everything you find in scripture into one POT to arrive at your own truths and conlusions

Everything you ever wanted to know is in Isaiah and through out God's word in the Old and came to pass in the New Testament. Plus,m you still have not provided a direction...

All you have to do is go in search of...

let's try this from a different angle -- would you share this commentary as is with a friend co-worker or loved one (even as is) as a witnessing tool or does it need further explaination?? if so, how would use it for example to demonstrate that Christ is "The Suffering Messiah"
