2Chr 16:9 "For the eyes of the LORD range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him."

I read a testimony in a profile on this site today that reminded me of the above verse. It also brought to remembrance the many testimonies I have heard or read where a person has a desire for God in a place where there were no Bibles, or missionaries, preachers or churches sharing Jesus. But some how, some way, God comes through and makes Himself known.

There are some that believe these people were picked to be saved before they were born. Why were they picked? Was it just cause? Was it God's foreknowledge that these people will believe? No one knows, except God Himself. What we do know, it is not based on our own righteousness, but what about something deeper, like our desire? Do the eyes of God search the earth looking for a smoldering ember in a person and fan it into flame?

Now before some one says, ' oh, you can steal glory from God by boasting you saved yourself because you had desire!' To this person I ask : How do you manufacture your own desire?

Luke19:22 "You knew did you, that I am a hard man, taking out what I did not put in, and reaping what I did not sow?"

Two you have touched something, most do not realize, we have heard it so often that man can not come unless God draweth them, but that is out of order for me what I see is God will go to what ever is necessary to reach a hungry heart, it seems as though the more I have heard it proclaimed they must be drawn by God to be saved that is not the pattern thru out the bible, it has always been the focus on the word of God and then the Spirit. Then we are told the greatest lie Satan has probably told and that being man in his fallen state can not respond to God. the phrase that should be adopted to the church concerning he that is not saved, towards the world is if they will believe on him they shall be saved. I believe we do know Two, I see it clearly in the word the lord desires all to be saved, but the church has been dupped to accept less than that and we do not have the expectancy, or actions to not get the results of such.

Do you know what is said first in the sixth ch of John?

One of the reasons Finney had such great results in preaching was he went after every soul, and before evangelizing there was more prayer, he was quoted as saying if he had not prayed for four hrs before preaching he would not have anything worth saying, it was his practice to pray from 4 to 8.

Oddly, it was my rebellion against the religion of Christianity and my desire to know God personally that lead me to Him and my faith as I now know it. Did He lead me through the maze of religion to bring me to Him or did He simply hear me calling on Him out of my frustration and then respond to make me His?

Very good thoughts everybody.

I love the part in the Bible where the Syrophoenician woman asks Jesus to heal her daughter. Jesus tells her no, and she pretty much flat out says yes! He heals her daughter and says she has great faith the only other person Jesus said this about was a Roman centurion.

The Bible says, Draw nigh to God and He will draw nigh to you.

I also believe that though all roads dont lead to God, He will go down any road to save his childrenbe it the road of dreams, the road of coincidence, or the road of life.
