Hummm....

Most people probably think of material possessions and

financial prosperity when the abundant life comes into mind,

and that surely has dazzled my mind at times as there

in nothing inherently wrong with those things unless they

become the sole focus of your life. Though, that isn't

really what makes life so vibrantly passionate and purposeful.

Does anyone here have a view on this?

How do you experience the "abundant life"?

One author expressed his faith perspective on the abundant

life as utilizing the grace and knowledge God gives to each

of us at your fullest potential. I can agree with this as

my spiritual service is where I always find the greatest joy

and peace, and those qualities can only come in the purest of form being connected to Jesus.

For those people who are abundantly rich in worldly things,

How well does your faith remain accountable?

Is God in the middle of your weath?

If you were well off before having relationship with God,

did your priorties change much after?

Have a blessed day!

Will tht is a thought provoking comment/post. I would like to tell you a little about my heritage. I'm from the former USSR, and Christians during the Communist era did not have nearly a life as we have here in the States. They were murdered for their faith; put in to prison for believing in Christ; always face the dangers of separation from their families; had barely enough to survive; did not have the opportunity for a college education. What is baffling, is that they considered themselves blessed beyond belief. They radiated with the joy of Christ, and were not worried about worldly possessions. Another thing a little off of the subject is that there was no room for fake Christians. You didn't want to pay the price for being fake!!!

I also believe that the prosperity gospel has to play a role in this a little, well, a lot. If people only are focused on riches, and perceive God as some investment bank, then to me that poses a little problem. The focus is not on Christ, but on what can God do for me, based on what I did for Him. I think it is a little backward. However, God does call people into financial ministry, for them to be true assets for the building of the kingdom. But I don't think everyone should desire that, it does say in the Word not everyone is going to be a foot.

Those are my thoughts. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to expound on this topic.

Blessings'

Vladimir,
