Have ya heard?

Due to the current world events some major media news contributors have convened and have agreed on a possible worst case scenario for the planet.

The scenario?

The planet will split in two and both halves will drift into outer space.

I dont mean to make light of tragedy, I just wished the media would quit scaring the daylights out of grandma and grandpa out in California.

Some how I perceive a preparedness tax coming on.

Actually if the planet split in half, the two pieces ought to maintain approximately the same orbit around the sun. The good news is gravity would be cut in half on the two pieces so the over weight person at 300lbs would now only weigh 150lbs! The bad news is the two halves would not spin on a axis, therefore we would lose night and day as we know it, no more seasons, probably one side would freeze while the other side scorched. Guess you'd have to live in the narrow band between dark and light.

However, here is the really good news: Genesis 8:22 " As long as the earth endures, seed time and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease."

So who you gonna believe?

:-)

Fylby,

You are right the media are overplaying the disaster in Japan.

And about your "preparedness tax".

Please, please, don't give liberals any more ideas.

In Christ,

James

Not sure the Japanese people feel the disaster they're living through is being overplayed in the media. As for grandma and grandpa in California--- if their house is built upon the Rock- no need to fear. Preparedness tax? Jesus paid mine already. _____________________________ LET not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself: that where I am, there ye may be also. (John 14: 1-3)
