Exposing a lie:

I wanted to give an example of rightly dividing the truth of God's word.

2Ti 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Rightly dividing means to make a straight cut, to dissect, to expound correctly the divine message, to rightly divide.

Defining rightly:1. in accordance with the facts; correctly

2. in accordance with principles of justice or morality

So in accordance with rightly dividing the word of truth, we are to expound on the the word of God with the word of God. The sword of the the spirit (the word) will make a straight cut thru the word of God.

Remembering the epistles where written as letters we will read this scripture as a letter. Here is our example for today, Jesus said thru the apostle Paul:

Romans 3:3 For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?

4 God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.

5 But if our unrighteousness commend the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God unrighteous who taketh vengeance? (I speak as a man)

6 God forbid: for then how shall God judge the world?

7 For if the truth of God hath more abounded through my lie unto his glory; why yet am I also judged as a sinner?

8 And not rather, (as we be slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say,) Let us do evil, that good may come? whose damnation is just.

9 What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin;

10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.

12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

This scripture is speaking of those that do not believe the word, it is not speaking of mankind as a whole, but of those that do not believe the word of God.

This is a quote out of the old testament:

Ps 14:1 To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

14:14:2 The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.

3 They are allgone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

The bible is speaking of the fool, and the bible is speaking of those that do not believe, those that reject the word of God

Ps 53:1 To the chief Musician upon Mahalath, Maschil, A Psalm of David. The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good.

2 God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God.

3 Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

4 Have the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread: they have not called upon God.

Again you will see the bible speaks of the fool, a fool being one that rejects God, yes you will see many times in the old testament where mankind as a whole, has walked away from God.

Notice in verse three of the 53 rd ch of ps. they have gone back, to have gone back, they would have had to been in another place, in another place.

This scripture in context speaks of those that do not believe do not seek after God. but go the same bible and find those that do seek after God.

We have a good example in our father of faith Abraham, one that had some understanding, that sought after God, and of course you will find many that sought the lord. Look in the book of Hebrews in hall of faith, for instance Enoch, you will find many that knew god and sought God.

Now you have an example of rightly dividing the word of truth, take the truth and gird yourself with it.

And as Jesus said only believe, come as a little child and you will always find the lord as you run after him.

Choose this day who you will serve!!

God or man

Yes there is a place of serving, or being subject to man but it is in accordance to the word of God.
