Or how God did NOT ordain the form of worship service that is commonly advanced by MANY churches today.
God is Spirit, and so those that worship Him MUST worship Him in spirit and in truth (Jn 4:24). For now true worshippers SHALL worship the Father in spirit and in truth, because the Father is seeking such to worship Him (4:23); Without which you dont know what you are worshipping (4:22); Especially IF you are allegedly worshipping God from some place (on earth) (4:21-20); Meaning; in a temple/church that has an altar built by mens hands where God does NOT dwell, you are in ignorance because you are worshipping an unknown god (Acts 17:24-23,25-28). The times of your ignorance (concerning worshipping an unknown god) God has winked at, but NOW is commanding you to Repent of this ignorance! (Acts 17:30).
The word spirit does not refer to the Holy Spirit but to the human spirit. Jesus point here is that a person must worship not simply by external conformity to religious rituals and places (outwardly) but inwardly (in spirit) with the proper attitude. The reference to truth refers to worship of God consistent with the revealed Scripture and centered on the Word made flesh who reveals the Father (Jn 14:6) This is why God tells us to NOT believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are of God, because there are MANY false prophets around us today (1Jn 4:1).
Paul wrote about a special union with God in Christ among us: He prayed that you would be rooted and established in love with the saints, so that you could grasp the love of Christ in coming to know THIS love that surpasses knowledge, (first intellectually and then experience because you have learned all of this from a God sent preacher see Rom 10:15) where you can be filled with all the fullness of God (Eph 3:17-19). All of this is so that you might have the spiritual act of worship, which is NOT conformed to the manner of this world/traditions of men; but is rather of that TRANSFORMED manner, which is in Gods merciful renewing of us through grace, (God working upon you, rather than you working) which IS according to THE WILL OF GOD (ROM 12:1-3).
FOR GOD CAN HAVE MERCIFUL COMPASSION UPON WHOM HE WILL (Rom 9:15). Therefore all of this has nothing to do with our will or our ability; but is purely of God, who shows us His mercy (9:16). This is all about the word of promise that is the purpose of God, which is according to the election that stands by God in THIS calling, which is without [our] works (9:9 and 11). This promise of God is for as many as the Lord God has called (Ac 2:39). And is according to Gods precious promise (2Pet 1:4).
We can abound in (all the affectionate fruit of) love, (which can show care): We CAN be this fruitful, IF we are (graciously) purged from sins 2Pet (1:8-9). Therefore those of Gods promise escape lust in love, (meaning; we cannot fall into lust through love) (1:4 and 7). For all of this is so that we could be IN THE ACCEPTABLE WORSHIP SERVICE TO GOD: This is why we need to have the promise of the covenant for our adoption into the glory [To be adopted is to have been approved through Gods acceptance, so that we could be embraced]: WITHOUT which is the giving of the law to those who are according to the FLESH (Rom 9:4-3).
Those who are in their flesh are IN LUST are without affectionate loving capacity. NOW the glory is about us sitting with Christ in the heavenly together (Eph 2:6). THIS heaven can be known in the manifold wisdom of Gods mysterious purpose in Christ PROVIDING the riches of Christ in this grace (of God working) are given to us through the preaching of a [God sent] minister of the gift of God graciously working according to His power (3:10-11 and 9-7). All of this is so that you might be a partaker of His promise in Christ, so that you could have confidence to enter (into the heavenly) with boldness (in spirit, NOT in body)(3:6 and 12).
Can you comprehend all of this? (3:18). For in the fullness of God, we can also know/experience the love of Christ, in the love that is past all knowledge (intellect) (3:19). We are to worship the Lord God through this service (Mt 4:10). For God has promised to perform His holy (the understanding) covenant, so that we could have this worship service before Him [Coming before God [Greek 1799] (Lk 1:75): to be in the place of His presence, which is what it means to be in His sight) [in spirit with another spirit], all the days of our life (Lk 1:72-75).
We can worship the Lord God through this service providing we have been set at liberty (Lk 4:8 and 18). Are you amazed at these gracious words of this astonishing doctrine? (4:22 and 32); Where two are gathered together in Jesus name, He is in the midst of them (Mt 18:20); Defined as; how two are in agreement together (18:19). If you think that love is all about fault finding (18:15), and is not also about edifying (1Cor 8:1), in body AND in spirit (2Cor 7:1), you are going to miss the affection of brotherly love (Rom 12:10). God gives this grace (Him working upon you) to the humble (Jm 4:6).
It takes patience to experience this hope (Rom 5:4). Those who are in this hope shall not be ashamed, because love is being shed from their hearts (toward each other in spirit with each other to God) (5;5). This is the joy in God through Jesus (5:11). This is NOT the offence; it is a GIFT of the grace of God, which is in the gift by grace in Jesus to many (5:15). THIS is the abundance of the gracious life of righteousness (God working upon us, because we are ASKING) shed abroad from us as love (5:17 and 5). HAVE YOU BEEN MADE THIS RIGHTEOUS?? IF so, then grace has abounded to you (5:20). For grace reigns through this righteous life by Jesus (5:21). THIS IS HOW TO HAVE PEACE WITH GOD THROUGH JESUS (5:1).
CAN YOU SEE HOW PEACE KISSES RIGHTEOUSNESS THROUGH LOVE??
(5:1 and 21, with Rom 16:16, 1Cor 16:20, 2Cor 13:12, 1Thes 5:26, and 1Pet 5:14).
IF this mercy has been shown to us, then we can be revived/refreshed in His salvation, so that we can rejoice in Him (Ps 85:7-6); Wherein the Lord has been favorable to us (85:1). Through Jesus we have access by one Spirit unto the heavenly Father of glory in the preaching of THIS peace (Eph 2:18-17).Without this hope, we dont have this promise, AND we remain strangers together (Eph 2:12). ARE YOU ASKING GOD TO WORK ALL OF THIS TRUTH INTO YOU SO THAT IT CAN BE SAID THAT YOU HAVE COME TO THE LIGHT??
(Jn 3:21). Believers who are doing evil [self-motivated deeds] HATE the light because they dont want their deeds to be corrected (Jn 3:20). Therefore these believers in Jesus are under the condemnation of God because they love the darkness of their own evil deeds (3:19 and 16).
Rather we are to sit in the heavenly together (Eph 2:6), so that we could come close and not be SO FAR OFF (2:13).
