Who was Adam?

I noticed that in reading about the creation in Genesis that everything that was created covered the earth. That is, all vegetation was everywhere. The seas were full of fish. The skies were full of birds. All the earth was covered with animals and then God made one man. Or did He?

What if God had covered the earth with people but chose to make a man for the specific purpose of bringing redemption through him?

According to Genesis 1, mankind, both male and female were made along with everything else that was created. According to Gen. 2 God makes A man and after making him he puts him in the Garden. Couldn't this man have been made for a particular purpose and couldn't eve have also been made for a particular purpose?

We later learn in 1 Tim that Eve had vallen to the temptation of the serpent. What if Adam had acted as he should have? Would he have defeated the serpent and brought redemption to mankind? Didn't Paul refer to Jesus as the second Adam? That is, it was because the first Adam failed to bring redemption God had to send a second Adam. And because a created man was not able to overcome the serpent then God would have to do send His Son to do it.

Some things to ponder: Cain built a city. Were all the occupants his brothers and sisters? Could All of the earth have been covered with people if they started with Adam and Eve and ended at the flood of Noah? Was there enough time for all of that and for them to travel everywhere too even if there was only one land mass before the flood?

I am not saying whether or not I believe any of what I am asking about. I am just looking for answers and your thoughts about this.

I'm not very claer as to what you are seeking here, but when you take a look at the first chapter of Gensis, you will find that God created the heaven and the earth. God's responsibility was taking care of the things of heaven, and I doubt if He felt it necessary that He should also take care of the grounds of the earth. Therefore, His plan was to create man so that man would take care of the land of the earth.

If you follow closely the process of creation on the sixth day God created man, and the word says God gave man domion over everything He created, the land, the sea, all things, and told man to be fruitful and multiply and take are of the earth.

Maybe after God had created the heaven and the earth, on a day He had nothing better to do and was lonely (lol) , He created Man for His own glory and purposes. Therefore, man was apart of His great creation, after all, man was created in the likeness and form of God. This also gves us an idea of what God looks like in the physcial form when Jesus who is God came as man to earth. Although no one has ever seen God at any time, we have only seen His likeness, in part, but we will see Him as He is when He returns.

Hi Thunder

Gen 1:27 (KJV)

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female ceated he them

Please notice the him and the them in the same phrase.

I do no find this distinction clearly back in the Hebrew text. According to some hebraicas, the man (Adam) created to his own image was both male and female.

In Genesis 2 the Adam becomes Iesj and Iesja (the man becomes man and woman - the woman is formed out of the rib of the Adam and the Adam becomes Adam)

Later on in Genesis 3, Iesja (woman) is called Eve (mother of all living)

Before to continue Thunder, my highly respected brother in Christ, can we agree on the above?

And please tell me how you are doing. I am curious to know about your findings, experiences.
