John 1:11-12 ~ " He came to his own and his own people Did not receive him. But to all who did recieve him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God....."
James, Um, so like dude, how does the elect and irresistible grace fit in this verse? Seems to me, like God totally offered Grace to the Elect and they Resisted it.
Sorry, for jumping in PJ. However I do agree, Jesus is the Light of the world, not the Light of the elect only. The truth is that Jesus is the Light of the world, it is just that many prefer to walk in darkness.
I HATE YOUR FALSE DOCTRINE, sir james! The only people who pat you on the back and say , Good boy--- way to go james are those who are deceived or confused. Or false doctrine teachers such as yourself. Your doctrine is a dangerous one. ____________________________ I'll keep witnessing and Praising God when a new soul is born again! Yes, you are correct, but miss the point. The Jews are often referred to as the "elect" and the majority of them resisted the ultimate manifestation of Gods Grace. This reality flies in the face of your principles defined by the doctrines of grace, specifically the elect and irresistible grace.
It was God desire that all of Israel would freely come to repentance. So did God fail? Of course not! God desires all to come who want to come, and those who don't want to don't have to, but that doesn't mean He doesn't wish all would want to come. So God uses those Jews who don't want to come to offer the Gospel to the world. That is what Romans chapter 9 is all about.
To be honest, I would have to accept Annihilationism to even get close to believeing in double predestination. It is only then that such a doctrine would aligin itself with the revealed Nature of God in Scripture.
