To be declared righteous by the blood of Jesus. It is a gift a of God's grace and is appropriated through faith apart from the law.

I believe it is as if God is saying, "What sin?" It is not right to think we are to "get right with God" because that would mean that we are rectified by Him and there will always be a "before and after" When we are Justified, God intentionally forgets the before and views us only in the light of the after...After we are washed in the blood of Jesus. There fore we are free of the guilt and shame that comes along with our past life of unbelief and we live in the joy and freedom of our present life of true belief.

Thunder is this what you are saying?

(1Pe 2:24) Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

We are dead to sin and shouldnt sin, but do, but because we are dead to sin we shouldnt sweat the sin so much because if we do then we are just living in guilt and not glorifying God, and so trying not to sin to hard that it becomes a work?

Justification is the act of God where by our SPIRITUAL LEGAL

standing in heaven is CHANGED from SINNER TO SAINT, and we are declared RIGHTEOUS (seen by in right standing with God) , in that when we are born again, we take on the righteousness of God's character (well, we are suppose to anywayzzz..lol) Whe we are save dby faith in God, he adds to our account His righteosuness and perfection to our record, becasue we are again, SUPPOSE to now be like in His images spiritually. Because this is apart of God's plan of salvation, He declare and gives us His righteousness.

Sinners to saints when we are spiritually born again by FAITH. Anyone who comes to Christ by faith, and believes and trust in God for their salvation will be JUSTIFIED You can find this by reading Romans chapter 3, and Ephesians chapter 1-5.

Flyby, when I asked how justififcation worked, I was meaning how does it come into effect. When we receive Jesus Christ inot our lives, and the Holy Spirit comes to live inside of us and we are set free from ALL past sins, the Holy Spirit gives us power NOT TO SIN and be condemned by God as a sinner.

Now I'm speaking about those who believe in Jesus Christ and have received Him as their personal Savior and Lord over their life.

If Jesus Christ is in lordship over your life, becasue this is what personal Savior and lordship means. That you are no longer in control of your life, and you have turn your life over to Christ in submission, and rely upon the Holy Spirit to lead and guide you into ALL righteousness, the Spirit will also convict your heart and mind of your sins, and bring you to repentance immediately. That is, as Pauls says, if you are truly born again of the Spriit and by the Spirit of God from above. And those who are in Jesus Christ, because we have been justified, by His blood, we no longer seek, nor are we influenced by sin, nor do we willingly sin any more becasue we are no longer in DEBT to satisfy our flesh doing our own thing, but we are INDEBT to please God and obedience to the Holy Spirit who now lives on the inside of us.

Now there is therefore, NO condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus and WALK and live ACCORDING TO THE LEADERSHIP OF THE Holy Spirit. Why?... because the Holy Sprit convicts us of our sins, when we do sin, and brings us to repentance. And if we don't repent when He brings sin to our attention, then God punsihes us (chastens us) as the author speaks in Hebrews chapter 12.

Whom the Lord loves He chastens into obediences when there not no repentance or when we continue to repeat sins. And because we are now believers and slip up and sin at times, Jesus is our advocate, and He prays for us, and when we repent immediately, God forgives us, and starts our record all over again as if we had never sinned, putting GRACE INTO WORK to cover our sins that we have repented of....

But as Paul says, we cannot continue to sin so that grace might abound, we must be in control of ourflesh as not to sin with the pwoer of the Holy Spirit, and know that the Godhead is living on the inside of us, and put away all things that have the APPEARANCE OF SIN out of our lives, to please God, as not to flustrate the God and the death fo the blood Jesus shed on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins.
