Admin	Fair,Balanced and the Holy Spirit Posted : 10 Feb, 2011 10:23 AM Did you know a person can take a Bible verse, pick out the key words, consult the Vines Expository Dictionary and Strong's Concordance choosing alternate meanigs for the key words and come up with a meaning that fits a particular doctrine. Did you know that if a person ignores the context of a verse and interprets the key words by the context of another verse some where else in the Bible with the same words, they can make it fit a particular doctrine. Did you know a person who knows Greek and Hebrew can use sentence structure to make a verse fit a particular doctrine. This is why there are so many disagreements, not because the Bible isn't clear, but because it can be interpreted in different ways, some good and some evil and not everyone even agrees on the good and the evil! Personally: I believe the taking God up on his offer of the Holy Spirit to guide us into all truth is paramount. After that... ....is lots of Bible reading and reference material. Then... ..... common sense, experience and creation around us, all interpreted by the Holy Spirit. After that..... ..... other Christians, past and present, their writings and especially those close enough to me to speak personally into my life..... Lastly, but still included, the doctrines of men There is one thing that is difficult to misinterpret : We are to Love. How do you get around that when we are called to Love even our enemies.
