How did those men become men of God? What set them apart from others? It was the simple fact that God chose them. To say that we are not depraved before Christ is calling God a liar. He said He looked down from heaven and could not find a single person who sought Him. Was God just blind? Was He not able to see everyone?
So, either God lied, which we know cannot happen, or you have fallen for the teachings of a false prophet. That hatred inside you is eating you up, my friend. God does not honor hatred. He instructs us to love. Until you can learn that simple truth, you will continue in blindness, because you will refuse to see the truth.
Grace is what saves, not what we do. If faith is an action, then it is a work, and we are told in no uncertain terms that we are NOT saved by works.
Your doctrine makes no sense, and it sure isn't biblical.
I think the response is correct, except for saying that you have fallen for a "false prophet".
I don't think you have fallen for a false prophet.
I just think you are thickheaded, and you attend an Arminian church.
I do think you are saved, but you are inconsistent in what you believe, and you ARE ignoring plenty of Scripture, and contradicting it whenever it is shown to you.
For instance, in John 6, TWICE Jesus says, " NO MAN CAN COME TO ME UNLESS..."
And then YOU will turn right around and say "ANYONE can come to Jesus if they will just decide to do so".
Then for evidence you will give a verse that says, "Whosoever will",
Like that proves anyone has the ability!
Jesus and Paul both said repeatedly that NO ONE can come to Jesus UNLESS God first gives them a new nature, and you contradict them, and then give a verse that says, "whosoever"
as if that proves your point.
Well, whosoever does NOT mean you have the ability.
Let me give an example.
Whosoever on CDFF will give me ten million dollars, I will build them a house.
There, I said whosoever, now, WHO HAS THE ABILITY to give me ten million dollars????
NO ONE! So, yes, whosoever WILL come to Jesus, will never be cast out, but the ONLY people who have the ability are those that God has made alive Spiritually.
I would like to help you see out of your box, however I can't make you look, that is your choice.....or is it?....lol!
Please think about a sperm and a egg. As you know the sperm swims and searches the egg out. When the sperm reaches the egg it drills through the outer shell to the inside of the egg and the two bond. If the egg is viable new life begins. Let's take a closer look at the egg. Is it dead?.... No, but it will be unless a sperm gets to it. Is the egg alive?.... No, it is as good as dead unless a sperm gets to it. Does the egg search out the sperm?...No
Now take this little analogy and apply it only to gain understanding; all analogies break down when you take them to far. The sperm is God's Spirit. We are the egg. God searches us out. If our 'outer shell' is not to hard or to thick God's Spirit gets inside of us. If we are viable, new life begins ......we are born again. Were we dead before?....No, if we were dead then why does the Bible speak of a "second death" for unbelievers. Were we alive before?......No, we are as good as dead in our sin and tresspasses without the Spirit of God.
Well James, I hope that helps you see and understand that "doctrine" is Not the way, the truth, nor the life.
Wait something is wrong with this picture two, The Bible Tells me: Seek the Lord, so if that's the case the egg is Jesus and the sperm is us. The desire in men is to seek the egg with our sperm or to seek the lord with our prayers. so when our desire is to seek Jesus and this egg has no shell it is always availible to receive and when you get to Jesus by prayer, he will let you in just like the egg will let you if the sperm gives it all he has, Then their is life in the egg and a rebirth of man in the Holy Spirit!
The egg or our Lord is waiting for the sperm or for us to desire him or the egg. I didn't really want to comment but correction was needed. He must have forgot the process.
Come on ladies help me out.:waving:
"but if from thence thou shalt seek the Lord thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou shalt seek him with all thy heart and soul." Duet. 4:29 "Now set your heart and soul to seek the Lord your God..." 1 Chron. 22:19
6Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6 KJV
