Blasphemy: A contemptuous or profane act, utterance, or writing concerning God or a sacred entity.

While this is indeed false doctrine, according to this definition, it's not necessarily blasphemy. Although in my mind it really is.

The person who wrote this just wants to have permission to sleep with whoever he/she can get.

If you were appalled, then why did you share it publicly where it could entice some weak in their faith to stumble?

I agree that fornication is completely misunderstood in the modern church. I find it interesting that earlier English dictionaries never define fornication as a sexual relationship between consenting, unmarried adults but rather point to it as lewd, lascivious and licentiousness behavior as a lifestyle. Fornicators are people who live a lifestyle of lewdness. They are not two people involved in a relationship that includes sexual intimacy. Only in recent times has fornication been defined as an extramarital sexual relationship.

Adultery on the other hand, as I have said before, is any act of unfaithfulness on the part of a married partner. While it may have been only women who were considered adulterers in the OT I believe it is either partner. I also don't believe that because OT men had many wives and concubines that this can be used as an excuse for promiscuity.

This is another case of allowing religion to dictate the doctrines of Scripture rather than the other way around. It is truly no wonder so many Christians are divorced with this twisted kind of view of purity to have to live up to.

And no, I don't think he is trying to justify his sin or anyone else's. I don't necessarily agree with everything he is saying but he is on the right track.
