Whose is it?

It is often implied and even said, that faith, that man demonstrates is the lord's faith.

Now Jesus says it differently, he says that it is your faith, and it is your unbelief.

I have never noticed anyone saying the unbelief belongs to Jesus!

Just saying.

Oh yes, and those that can not do anything to respond to the word of God, oh my again Jesus always comes forth.

Heb 11:5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.

Heb 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Actually, (not being sarcastic) this is what Calvinism in a round about way teaches. A individual being unconditionally chosen to be NONelect, born totally depraved and not under the atonement of Christ or offered irresistible grace. ~ How could you say anything else?

PJ,

This is how I see faith : It is like the water in the coffee can at a old water well hand pump. The water (faith) in the can is a gift. If you use the water to prime the pump and pump the handle with all your might to get more vwater (faith), that is your water (faith).

I'm fine with that to a point, cause you see; the well, pump, the ground the pump sits on, the man, the mans body and what he ate for breakfast and lunch to have the strength to pump the handle are all created and given by God. We can produce faith only because God set it up for us to be able to do so.

And to answer the obvious question; ...Yes, there are those who drink the water in the coffee can instead of priming the pump, either because of unbelief, lack of knowledge, or their flesh requires immediate satisfaction.

I did a quick search and the only thing with Lord and faith refers to either our faith in Him, or His faithfulness (not His faith). He is faithful. Could you give some examples of where it says the Lord's faith (not the same as the Lord's faithfulness).
